This is a classic winter steelhead pattern that has it’s unique spin.  The thin flashy body is good, the bumps are easy and the sparse fly will sink.  You can add heavier dumbell eyes to get it down more or less.

Elliot went into some great topics on this one.  We here him share some strong opinions about competition fly fishing, conservation and a few other big topics.  John Shewey noted in episode 16 that he feels sorry for people that don’t have a passion in their life.

This is one of the amazing things about this pattern.  It has a great name, LOL and I didn’t come up with it.  A great old friend of the family, Marty Sherman created this pattern and named it after my dad or the shop.  Not sure which but I’ll ask Marty when I talk to him.
